Postpartum Support
For those seeking support during their postpartum - within the six months of their postpartum journey.
I do hold a particular emphasis on the early weeks and months of bringing your baby home to give you more time focusing solely on bonding with and getting to know your baby - without worrying about the extra stuff. However every family is different in when they need the most support. Partners go back to work and visitors slow down.
My service exists to help lighten your load.
I provide physical, emotional, and informational support to you.
These services are personalised to your needs. They can include:
Light household duties
For example - washing and putting away your dishes/emptying or filling your dishwasher, putting on or hanging out a load of washing, changing your bed sheets, taking out your bins, and more.
In home cooking
I help by cooking or assisting in preparing a nourishing meal.
Providing a space for you to have your birth story heard
I offer you the opportunity to debrief your birth and a space to speak what is on your mind without any judgement. DISCLAIMER - I am not a psychologist or counsellor. I do not give advice. If you need further support I can refer you to someone who IS trained.
Breastfeeding support
I am there for your moral support. I know how difficult breastfeeding in those early days and weeks can be. If you are needing additional support, I can refer you on to a lactation consultant.
Entertaining children
This includes entertaining any older children, or holding your baby while you rest or shower (I do like to keep Mum and baby together where possible however I understand sometimes you need to be able to take a shower or rest without the worry, or to simply take a moment to reset without holding your baby).
Referrals to my network of other professionals
My network of professionals include lactation consultants, women’s health physios, psychologists, etc. I can refer you to them as wanted or needed.
If you have any other ideas on how you would like to be supported in your postpartum - I encourage you to reach out so we can discuss.
