Pregnancy Support - 2 x 2 hour sessions

You can view more detail about my Pregnancy Support here.

Within these pregnancy sessions we can cover a range of topics such as:

  • Birth Mapping - a HOT TAKE on a birth plan. We begin by playing The Game Of Birth and then we go DEEP into what you want for your birth, as well as cover a range of different options, scenarios, “what ifs”, and how you want to FEEL during your birth. The aim is to help YOU stay in charge of your birth even if you’re not in control. Together we create a typed document of your Birth Map that you can share with your care providers and support people. The Birth Map was created by Catherine Bell and you can learn more about Birth Mapping here.

  • Postpartum Planning - together we plan for your postpartum. I can help you plan meals for your postpartum (or freezer), help organise a meal train, assist you and your partner develop strategies on how to support each other during those early weeks of postpartum, talk through different postpartum considerations, guide you to my network of professionals who you may want to access in your postpartum (eg women’s health physios, lactation consultants, etc).

  • A chance for you to talk through any previous births or any fears that have come up for you. This is a space where you can share what is on your mind without judgement and have your story or your feelings heard. DISCLAIMER - I am not a psychologist or counsellor. I do not give advice. If you need further support I can refer you to someone who IS trained.

  • This is where we discuss different comfort measure techniques and strategies you may wish to use during labour and birth. I believe you already have everything within you and your body already knows what to do. In saying that, I also know it can be nice to have an awareness around different strategies you can call upon if you feel you want to. I provide you with comfort measure ideas around different positions, basic acupressure points, ways you can use a rebozo, and non medical pain relief options.

Labour and Birth Support

  • On call from 37 weeks until the birth of your baby.

  • Attendance at your labour and birth when you feel you need me there.

  • I support you and your partner (or chosen support people). I do not take away from their roles. I am in addition to your chosen team. I work with them.

  • I assist with anything that needs doing. For example - setting up your birth space, offering you sips of water or something to eat, helping you to move or change position, holding the shower head for you, filling up a birth pool, a hand to hold, plus more.

  • I hold space for you and trust you to birth instinctively.

Postpartum Support - 2 x 3 hour sessions

These services are tailored to you and your needs.

  • I help with light household duties. For example - washing and putting away your dishes/emptying or filling your dishwasher, putting on or hanging out a load of washing, changing your bed sheets, taking out the bins, plus more.

  • In home cooking or assistance with preparing a nourishing meal.

  • Providing a space for you to have your birth story heard and talk about anything you may be feeling DISCLAIMER - I am not a psychologist or counsellor. I do not give advice. If you need further support I can refer you to someone who IS trained.

  • Basic breastfeeding support.

  • Entertaining any older children, or holding your baby while you rest or shower (I do like to keep Mum and baby together where possible however I understand sometimes you need to be able to take a shower or rest without the worry, or to simply take a moment to reset without holding your baby).
